So you are going to be hitting very slightly higher with void, but you're going to be eating more and get much shorter trips with void. The main use for Karils is Magic Defence and I believe it is the strongest Magic Defence armor without a Melee Attack negative, which is why you might see it used more for Melee than for Ranged. .
